Minutes

Meeting called to order at 7:13 p.m.

TREASURES REPORT:

CHECKING ACCOUNT $319.01

DEPOSIT $210.00

TOTAL $525.01

SAVINGS ACCOUNT $212.60

TOTAL $741.61

OLD BUSINESS:

Rocky DeFeyter visited from a lake that has an aerator. It’s his opinion that it helped with water quality. DNR claims only helps with oxygen levels. Their Lake association purchased the aerator. Liability insurance for $500,000 is approximately $800 per year. Permits are easy to get total costs are about $2,000 to $3,000 per year. They're a 30 member association each contributing approximately $500 each initially plus $75 per member per year for maintenance. Some snowmobiles run the open water. It can tip over when wind shifts.

We are (Lake Martha) on top of the list to get an aerator. Can we put a cap on all residents to help defer the cost?

Motion made by Al to contact the DNR, seconded by Bob contingent on liability costs. Bob Halagan will look into liability.

NEW BUSINESS:

Picnic activities: volleyball, horseshoes, pinata, cornhole toss and water balloons.

Del: MPCA has no jurisdictions to decide about another treatment. Dave Wright, DNR to decide about another treatment - maybe test plots by mid-October.

Questions: Do we want another treatment? Arrange for Del to speak and put it in writing.

Lance passed out flyers on Dutch Elm Disease. "It's in the area!"

Motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 8:24pm.
